Traditional Vows
Time-honored promises steeped in sacred tradition
Sacred Promise
I take thee to be my wedded spouse, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.
Before God and These Witnesses
I promise before God and these witnesses to be your faithful husband/wife, to share with you in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, to forgive and strengthen you, and to join with you so that together we may serve God and others as long as we both shall live.
With this ring, I thee wed, and with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Sacred Covenant
I enter into this sacred covenant with you before God, promising to love you with steadfast devotion, to honor you above all others, and to remain faithful to you until death parts us.
I promise to love, honor, and obey you, to be faithful to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for as long as we both shall live.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, I pledge my troth to you, to be your constant companion through all the seasons of our life together.
